Enjoy the Brush March 29 -31
Explore East Asian calligraphy with painter and calligrapher Kazuaki Tanahashi. He has presented solo exhibitions of his brushwork and taught worldwide. Using a variety of paper and brushes, you will experiment with artistic interpretation and expressionistic improvisation.
Materials (provided) include black ink and biodegradable watercolor paint. No previous experience is needed.

More About The Instructor
Kazuaki Tanahashi, born and trained in Japan, is an artist, writer, and peace worker. He was also one of the earliest students of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba Sensei in Iwama after WWII.
As a painter and calligrapher, Kaz has presented solo exhibitions of his brushwork, performed, and taught worldwide. He has created a genre of one-stroke paintings and multi-color Zen circles. As a calligrapher in East Asian style, he creates works of large single ideographs.
